Infidels (Koffar) is A Film about the Godars, Artist-Gypsies Living in Northern Iran. The film recounts the four ways which the Godars make their living: dancing, acting, hunting and music, while showcasing their dedication to preserving their art and age-old rituals. In this film, the Godars sing songs, play music, and tell the ancient tales of their heritage which often deal with their problems with God.

Bahman Kiarostami (born 1978) lives and works in Tehran, as a documentary film director, editor and cinematographer. He made his first documentary ‘Morteza Momayez: Father of Iranian Contemporary Graphic Design’ in 1996. Most of his documentaries focus on valuing and legitimizing processes in art, but also cover the visible yet obscured and unnoticed details which define Iran’s post revolutionary visual culture. His filmography includes: Fereydoun in Late summer (2023), Impass (2022), Parvaneh (2021), House of Golestan (2020), Exodus (2019), Monir (2014), Taxi-Tehran (2011), Javad (2011), The Treasure Cave (2009), Anonymous (2007, co-directed with Kaveh Kazemi), Re-enactment (2006), Persian Gardens (2005), Pilgrimage (2005), Two Bows (2004) , Infidels (2004), and Nour (2003).
