Elham Hosseinzadeh
Elham Hosseinzadeh was born in Ahvaz, a city in the south of Iran. She moved to Tehran to continue her education and has lived there ever since. She received a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Social Communication, in addition to completing different filmmaking and photography courses in independent schools of cinema.
She worked as a journalist and a researcher before making films, fictions and documentaries such as “Silent Companion,” “Friends place …Enemies place,” “The Wall,” “Missing,” and “The Branches,” among others. Her films have screened in more than 60 major national and international film festivals and she has received various national and international awards.
