ArteEast was born 21 years ago in the wake of 9/11, when New York’s MENA (Middle Eastern and North African) community needed to unite in the face of discrimination and demonization. This gave rise to our mission: amplifying the voices of artists and filmmakers from the MENA region and its diasporas through diverse programming, which has included film screenings, art exhibitions, online publications, artist residencies, and more. Our mission remains as vital as ever, as the issues we faced back then continue to persist. Against all odds, and with your support, our small organization remains dedicated, 21 years later, to fulfilling its important mission by providing a global platform for a diversity of voices rooted in the MENA region, while promoting artistic excellence.

Join us as we come together as a community to celebrate ArteEast’s accomplishments and honor the individuals and institutions whose values align with ours. Stay tuned for more information coming soon about the event performances and our art auction, featuring the remarkable works of talented artists.

If you can’t be there in person, please help spread the word and consider supporting our cause with a donation. Your care and generosity will go a long way in helping us continue our programming and showcase the work of talented yet underrepresented artists. Be part of our community by purchasing a ticket, becoming a sponsor, or supporting our mission with a donation.
